This 2017 Toyota 86 was ordered to spec, built in Japan in January 2017, and delivered new at Fox Toyota of Cadillac (Michigan) on March 10, 2017. It was then transported to Grand Rapids, Michigan by enclosed trailer and has been under the fastidious care of Fox Motorsports since new.
This Toyota 86 is in excellent condition inside and out. It has only been hand washed (and has been regularly hand waxed) and was properly broken-in. At that point (just after the 1000-mile break-in period), it had an early first oil change using synthetic oil and a factory Subaru oil filter (April 25, 2017 with 1009 miles on the odometer). The gearbox and differential fluids were changed to Pentosin MTF2 and Motul 300 at the same time.
The OCD maintenance regime continued including synthetic oil changes with a factory Subaru oil filter every 6 months (despite the low miles) plus a brake fluid flush and differential fluid change (Motul 300) at the 2-year service (April 2019—11,871 miles) and a cabin air filter at the 3-year service (April 2020—16,117 miles). The car has always been properly warmed-up (low revs until warm, etc.) and never abused. Only premium (93 octane) ‘Top Tier’ gasoline has been put in the fuel tank. You will not find a Toyota 86 that’s had better care or maintenance.
The Toyota 86 is stock other than professionally-installed heated front seats, a SmartTap flasher relay (for “3 blink” indicators/blinkers), a factory Escort radar detector power cord (professionally installed), a Battery Tender-brand trickle charger quick connect (for storage), and a Scosche MagicMount magnetic dash mount (for mobile phones). All items can easily be removed, if one wishes.
This Toyota 86 has always been stored in a climate-controlled environment and on a battery tender. It has always been garaged when not in use (both day and night) and regularly hand washed (never through a car wash) including regular undercarriage rinsing. The Michelin Pilot Sport 4S summer tires installed on the factory 17-inch alloy wheels, the extra set of OE Michelin Primacy HP summer tires, and the Dunlop SP Winter Sport 4D winter tires (on 16-inch steel wheels) all have excellent tread depth. All eight (8) wheels have zero curb damage and have never been damaged/repaired.
Included are all original keys (remote keys x2, valet key x1), Two (2) sets of factory Toyota floor mats (carpet and all-weather rubber), 16-inch winter wheels/tires with TPMS sensors and all install hardware, OE Michelin Primacy HP summer tires, Rokblokz “rally” mud flaps (with all install hardware), SmartTap flasher relay instructions (and the OE flasher relay), all books/manuals, original touchscreen cleaning cloth (never used), factory front plate frame (never installed), and original window sticker. Additionally, all the stickers/decals/paperwork that were on the car when it shipped from Japan are included (see photos).
The original Toyota factory powertrain warranty is valid until March of 2022 or 60,000 miles.
