SOLD: 1956 BMW Isetta 300 “Bubble Window” Convertible

Red Exterior with White Convertible Top and White Leather Interior. Outside Luggage Rack; 296 cc Single-Cylinder Engine; 4-speed Manual Transmission. One of 65 convertible “Bubble Window” examples produced by BMW between 1955 and 1962.

This BMW Isetta lived in Uruguay with the previous owner, who then imported the car into the United State (California) in 2006. While in Uruguay, the Isetta was restored. The paint color was changed from light blue to red and the cloth interior was changed to white leather. In 2011, Fox Motorsports purchased the Isetta out of California and used the car briefly for display before putting it into long-term, climate-controlled storage.

The paint is in good condition with minor blemishes. The interior is in very good condition with no rips or tears and still smells like new leather. The body and chassis are clean with no corrosion. The glass is OEM Sekurit Duro-Glass and appears original to the car.

The Isetta runs and drives, and recent service work includes a new carburetor and a repair/reseal of the fuel tank (September 2019). The car has not been on the road in some time outside of a short test drive following this recent work.

Note: This 1956 Isetta is titled as a 1958, as is occasionally seen with vehicles of this era.
