This 2003 Porsche Boxster was delivered new on June 30, 2003 at Delta Imports (the local Porsche dealer) in Grand Rapids, Michigan with 15 miles on the odometer. That original owner then purchased the Boxster in November of 2006 (at the end of their lease) and kept the car until buying a new Porsche Boxster through Fox Motorsports in August of 2011. Fox Motorsports then sold the car in September of 2011 to a local client, who enjoyed the car in the fall of 2011 and spring/summer 2012. The original MSRP of this 2003 Boxster was $48,205. It has lived in Michigan its whole life with all service performed at Delta Imports and Fox Motorsports. It has never seen snow/salt and has always been stored in a secure and climate controlled environment each winter.
This is an extremely clean, well cared for Boxster. It is rock-solid going down the road with none of the squeaks, rattles, or cowl shake that you feel in older, rougher examples of the Porsche roadster. The interior has minimal wear on the leather seats and unworn buttons and switches. It handles perfectly and the manual shifter is tight with none of the slop that many older, less well cared for Boxster examples tend to have. The power soft top works perfectly and is in excellent condition. New Porsche OEM Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 tires were fitted less than 5000 miles ago at a cost of over $1000. It is a well specced example (see below full options list). Included are both keys, all books, records, unused front license plate bracket, etc.
The updated/face-lifted for 2003 Boxster features the 225 hp version of the 2.7-liter flat-six engine (up from 201 hp in the 1997-1999 Boxster and 217 hp in the 2000-2002 Boxster). This allows the Boxster to accelerate from 0-60 mph in only 6.2 seconds and reach a near 160 mph top speed. Fuel economy is equally impressive with a 20 mpg city and 29 mpg highway EPA rating. Also included in the 2003 model year update: glass rear window, glove box, electric trunk release, updated steering wheel, clear headlights, new bumpers, and updated intake/exhaust system.
