VIN 473VJ11083

Campus Red Exterior with Black Interior and Top; 3 Speed Manual with Overdrive; Stored from 1971-1991; Documented Full Restoration 1991-1992; Recently Rebuilt F-134 Hurricane Engine; Haartz Canvas Top and Side Curtains; Excellent Chrome. Rust Free.

This 1950 Willys-Overland Jeepster underwent a comprehensive, full restoration in 1991-92. It was originally found in a Virginia barn, having sat in storage for 20 years. The Jeepster was tired but rust-free. It was then completely disassembled, inspected, painted, and reassembled. The interior and top were also fully redone. The top is in excellent condition and is made of Haartz canvas material (along with the included side curtains). The interior is high-quality vinyl, with matching black carpet. The interior chrome, gauges and switchgear are in excellent condition, with only minor blemishes in the gauge glass and on the steering wheel. The seats, piped in white, are unblemished and look as new. The carpet condition is excellent.

The Jeepster’s paint is a single stage Glasurit finished in Campus Red. The black trim paint is in very good condition, as is the chrome that outlines it. The Campus Red paint is in good condition but there are a few cracks on the hood along with a few other minor issues. The body, chassis, and underbody are straight and rust-free. The engine is a rebuilt “Hurricane” F-134 four cylinder taken from a 1953 CJ-3B (#4J215271) and installed in 2006. Included with the Jeepster are extensive maintenance receipts dated from 1991 through 2013.
