This Mercedes 0321 was EHC Biel’s team bus. EHC Biel was a Swiss second-tier National League hockey team until 1975, when they were promoted to first-tier status. The team went on to win three National League championships in 1978, 1981, and 1983. In 1976, this bus was purchased and later converted to an RV by the same long-term owner who sold the bus at Old Timer Gallerie Toffen’s auction on April 28, 2012. The bus was purchased by an American buyer who imported it into the USA in early summer 2012. Bonhams auction house later offered the bus for sale at their Quail Lodge Auction on August 16, 2013.

This classic Mercedes bus was purchased through Bonhams by Fox Motorsports in September 2013 and then transported from California to Grand Rapids, Michigan, where it has remained in climate-controlled storage other than occasional use.

Inside the bus are two beds, two couches, six original Mercedes seats plus a kitchen with fridge, cooktop, and a sink. There’s also a bathroom with sink and newer portable toilet as well as an auxiliary heater, ample storage space, and hanging cabinets.

The odometer shows 281,641 km. Its overall condition is good despite having never been fully restored. Fox Motorsports recently brought the bus out of storage for an inspection and test drive. Additionally, service work performed in the fall of 2012 (281,456 km) includes: oil/filter change, new diesel primer pump, fuel filter, full chassis lube (approx. 150 fittings), 6 new tires, 2 new batteries, new ignition switch, and misc. fuses. Service work performed in 2013 (281,629 km) includes: full brake inspection including reconditioning of rear brake shoes, differential fluid change, brake fluid change, and front brake adjustment.
